I am so happy this place is right across the street from my building! Whether I'm too lazy to cook/go shopping or am just in need of a comforting Cuban meal, I can simply walk across the street or get a quick delivery. Great flavors, well seasoned, a good variety and huge portions for the right price -- I can easily get 2-3 meals out of my order! I normally opt for a grilled chicken breast with rice and beans, and it truly has that homemade feel. I have to admit it's all I've really had aside from croquetas, so I can't say anything about the rest of the menu, but it does the trick for me. Otherwise, the menu looks rather extensive to satisfy whatever you're in the mood for. I haven't eaten on-site yet, but the outdoor seating looks like a nice Sunday brunch or lunch spot with an ocean view.

Great food and great service with very reasonably priced food and beer/wine. My party of 10 was served very quickly and we got our meals exactly as they were ordered. I would certainly recommend this cafe to anyone in the area.

1. Went at 8pm and they close at 9pm. The first thing they said is we close in 1 hr. 2. Never offered any drinks 3. Was rushed to order and eat 4. Told we had to leave at 9pm on the dot 5. I was bothered while I was eating by a server who was also a club promoter to go to all the clubs I would definitely not go back there if you paid me. The staff was so rude and the food was not good either

The owner is extremely rude. The food is subpar. Being that I work nearby, though, I am practically forced to order from them whenever I do not bring lunch from home. The last time I ordered, my Cuban sandwich had mold on it. When I called the owner to complain, she simply dismissed my complaint. I tried to calmly explain that the food prepared by her staff was a health hazard, but she continued to talk back to me in the rudest of manners. I will not be purchasing food from this establishment again. YOU (reader) should stay away!

Hello my name is Mary, me and my mom recently decided to try out Arlens Cafe. We went for lunch and had a very hard time parking but that was just the start to this horrible experience. When we showed up at the restaurant not one of the staff greeted us and we had to seat ourselves. We waited five minutes to even get menus and the restaurant was empty. Finally our waitress showed up after what we heard her talking loudly and vulgar with the cooks in the kitchen. I believe her name is Marina. We asked her if there were any specials for the day and she said no but we were surprised because I was told by a friend they had great lunch specials. We decided to order off the menu. I ordered a tuna melt and my mom a chicken ceaser salad. We waited almost 20 minutes to get our food. Not once did our waitress check on us we had no refills and no utensils when the food arrived. My tuna melt was terrible it wasn't fresh at all and was way to watery I couldn't finish it. My mom had no comment. I decided to use the restroom which is a long walk from the restaurant. Unfortunately I was using the stall next to my waitress. !!Readers I want you to read what I am about to write slowly!! As I was washing my hands Marina our waitress walks out of the stall and doesn't wash her hands!!! I was shocked someone in the food industry not washing their hands. I told my mom and she was shocked also. I tried to contact the owner but never heard back from her I believe her name is Sharon. Readers do not waste your money at this hole in the wall restaurant. We came here for a quick bite when it seemed like nothing else was open in the area. They had outdoor/poolside seating as well as indoor seating. The food wasn't bad and the server was nice, but nothing was extraordinary. Cubano Sandwich: Pretty standard, tasty but not exceptional. Fried plantains (costed a dollar more to substitute these for fries): Delicious! But pretty sweet, especially after eating so many of them. Cheeseburger: pretty standard, good because I was craving it, but I don't feel the need to rave about it.

I've eaten here about five times in the past 4 months (including today) and haven't been disappointed. The staff is friendly and the food has always been quick. I am totally in love with their fajitas! Fantastic flavor! And I always order the breaded teriyaki wings when I have guests as well, and everyone raves about them. I'm no expert in Latin American food, but I think their Cuban Tamales are great too! Love that you can eat outdoors with a view of the ocean as well!

Unless you live in the building I do not suggest making a trip here but it is conveinent to have a restaurant in the building. This place has been taken over many times so I am trying to only write my review on the most recent owner but not sure if it changed hands again in the last 4 months. When someone new took over like4 months agos I ordered and it ws GREAT the first time - and by great I mean they did not overcook my burgers, fish, and churrasco (yummy!) so everything was juicey and good. Then they stopped caring I guess and overcooked the crap out of my food three times in a row and did not order again till a few days ago - prehaps additional change of owner between these times? Ordered delivery - churrasco - OK - chicken wings - burned and the most digusting things I ever ate. Sad..... Didn't plan on order again but Had a friend over and we were starving so went down and ordered. The order taker was terrible. After I put in my order I asked for my fries first to give the baby a few to nosh on and he was like no --- I am so busy - will take 30 min --- Asked again --- no fries at all in fryer? No. Can you throw a few in? No! Mind you maybe 20% of the tables are taken and evidently this is considered packed. The owner? overheard and brought me out fries in two seconds. I really appreciated it - but made me think how badly the first guy was lying to me. I asked how long it would take - should I wait or delivery? He said VERY BUSY 30 min minimum so I elected delivery. Less then 5 min later the owner? was up there with my food. Food was pretty good this time - Pork chunks (order those!), fries - some of the best I ever had. My friend had burger - she liked. I am happy food was better but that server really turned me off - but owner? seems to care which I appreciate. Will go again mostly b/c I live in building.
